Into The Ark Interview

Dane Lloyd and Taylor Jones also known as Into The Ark have signed a publishing deal with Warner Chappell and Paolo Nutini's management team will be looking after the guys.

Into The Ark play Clwb Ifor Bach on December 13th and marks the groups return to the capital.

Hi guys, how're you?

We're good thanks!

First of all well done on all the success so far! Are you excited to be back in Cardiff & playing Clwb Ifor Bach on Tuesday 13th?

Yes! We haven’t played home in a while, these gigs always get a bit messy (in a good way…)

It's quite a big stage compared to busking on the streets, do you treat it the same? Do you get nervous?

Yeah I think it's good if you're still getting a bit nervous but we treat all shows the same, even if there's one person in the crowd. Fingers crossed there will be a few more than that though.

Tell us a little about the new single ''My Ghost'...
My Ghost was our first single that we released on our own label - BLACKWOOD RECORDS - it was out a few weeks ago and we’re really proud of it and the reactions it got. So, we’d like to thank everyone who watched, listened or downloaded the song - we appreciate you spreading the love! We're now working on a new song called ‘Brightest Creatures’ and the video for that follows very soon. We filmed the Brightest Creatures video in an empty Motorpoint Arena one Monday afternoon in November - which was great fun. But both of these tracks were recorded in London, in a really old school studio. Pretty much all of the instruments on the songs are from the 60’s so hopefully we've captured a bit of the past.

Supporting Paolo Nutini at his Newport gig must've been a dream come true? A brilliant cause too...

It was insane, by far our best gig to date. We are both massive fans of Paolo, so to finally share a stage with him was mental. I know, what a top bloke, he even met all our family one by one. He was a true gent.

And you were recording in the same studio and met Kylie Minogue?

There's a studio in London called Sarm and Kylie was just chilling, eating her yogurt on the sofa in front of us. So we pretended we didn't know it was her and introduced ourselves!! Then she asked us for a photo for her own social media...pretty rad.

Best of luck with everything guys, we're excited for the show!

Thank you, really looking forward to it.

Strike A Pose : Interview With Carlton Wilborn

Back in 1990 Madonna took stardom to dizzy heights no star had experienced before. She had a massive number one hit on her hands (Vogue), was in a hit film (Dick Tracy) and embarked on a World Tour that would have the whole world talking! The Blond Ambition Tour broke boundaries and the box office, it was the hottest ticket of the year. And if you wasn’t lucky enough to get a ticket, the tour was made into a rockumentary which featured Madonna on stage, on the road and in bed with Madonna. The film (Truth or Dare/In Bed With Madonna) focused on the relationships the superstar had with those closest to her especially the seven male dancers who featured heavily in the film. Truth or Dare has become something of a classic, probably the first venture into reality TV. The dancers that appeared in it became stars in their own right and attracted a fan base of their own. Now twenty five years later ‘Strike a Pose’ a feature documentary from Ester Gould and Reijer Zwaan, catches up wit

The Addams Family | Wyburn and Wayne Cardiff Times

Frightfully Fabulous Family Time! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Cooler than the Kardashians, more twisted than the Trumps, The Addams Family have descended upon Cardiff Bay for twelve nights of music and mischief on their UK tour of the Hit musical. Even before the show started I was in awe of the ghoulishly gothic and gorgeous set and then the lights dimmed, the fingers start snapping and the magic begins as the kookiest family of them all take to the stage. The Addams Family have graced our TV and cinema screens for over 50 years and this production has a perfectly cast ensemble to play the iconic death obsessed family that everyone loves. Les Dennis is fantastic as Uncle Fester, he has some great numbers in the show and his lovable character brings much giggles. Samantha Womack and Cameron Blakely are superb as Morticia & Gomez, they pay great tribute to every actor before them that played these roles possessing all the chemistry and charisma that made these parents the most devilish y

Many Man

Many Man Written & Performed by Tobias Weatherburn  ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Tobias Weatherburn triumphs in Spilt Milks production of Many Man, taking us on a rollercoaster of emotions as he explores the multiple personalities of a man searching for happiness by creating a new persona each time life fails him. Many Man is a journey of a man searching for the better version of himself and ultimately wanting just to be the man he was born to be. From the start we thought this one man show would be something of a comedy stand up. There was much laughter as Weatherburn described his characters life and got all philosophical on life in general and each time the character transforms himself into a completely different persona it's done so cleverly and with lots of humour. It's not until each persona fails and breaks down that we see the dark and tormented side to his complex character.  Weatherburn delivers impeccable comic timing and nails a number of accents which keep flipping t
